Healthy School
Following recent press announcements the Procurement and School Meals teams would like to assure schools and parents who purchase from the Authority’s approved suppliers, Young’s the Butcher and Hopwell’s frozen foods, that the that the Council has received assurances from these two suppliers that the beef and beef products listed on the school order forms, do not contain any traces of horse meat.
Our Menus and meals are provided by Hutton Cranswick Primary School. The school tries where possible to source produce from local traders and the meat is bought from the James White the local butcher in Hutton Cranswick. James White has sent us the following notice:
“Fruit and Vegetables are bought from Rafters in Driffield and Fruit is bought from the Farm Shop in Hutton Cranswick.”
